Lincoln Literacy's Global Celebration

Between 2022 and 2023, Lincoln Literacy’s student population grew by 50% to 1,663. That strong growth continues this year with over 1,600 adult learners served by July 31st of this year. We expect over 2,000 students for the first time.

Our students are also growing in their skills — 76% of students improved at least one level on their English assessment.

We are so excited for the future and what this means for Lincoln Literacy. We now operate six 15-passenger vans, teach at eleven businesses, and teach English in our own building as well as at eight other community locations.

In addition, with our two new driving simulators, we are helping our students gain the freedom of driving in our community and discovering all that it has to offer.

Lincoln Literacy’s Global Celebration on November 9 will feature a plated dinner and cash bar with table service (provided by The Cornhusker Hotel), social time, an international performance, speakers discussing and sharing stories about their different home cultures, and a cultural art sample.
